A personal fitness guide. A trainer. A healer. A Quadball Athlete.
My name is Joanne and I'm here to help you achieve your fitness goals. My personal fitness journey began at the age of 8 when I started playing basketball- except I had no idea it would become a goal of mine to help others such as yourself achieve goals you've thought were impossible.

As a former basketball and rugby athlete throughout high school, I focused on by simply playing the sport itself. Through university, I began to acquire more knowledge for the necessity & benefit of strength & conditioning for sustainable long term performance. I led athletes of my collegiate quidditch team through weekly strength sessions in the gym and saw not only improvements in the game, but also improved mental strength that carried over to various aspects of their life.

That's when I realized I wanted to be a personal fitness guide to help as many of you as possible to gain strength in all aspects of your lives, starting with the physical. With over 6 years of experience from training at a commercial gym, to a group instructor at a functional fitness facility, to online programming for Quadball athletes, my journey to spread the joy of strength training has just begun.

I'm not here to tell you what to do and what not to do. My goal is to teach and guide you to be an adaptable mover that is personalized to YOUR lifestyle. I give you the autonomy to explore what FEELS good in your own body.
What does it mean to be an adaptable mover?

To sit on the floor with your nephews, nieces and grandkids. To be pain free walking up and down the stairs. To be confident to say yes to playing in a recreational sports league regardless of how long it’s been since you’ve played. To go hiking on vacation. To feel confident in saying I am stronger today than I was yesterday.
One of the important factors in staying consistent in a routine is to enjoy it. You may not be over the moon excited on a daily basis, but there needs to be an inner desire to reach your goals. I’m here to guide you as you discover that inner desire through various ways of movement which includes bodyweight exercises, barbell lifts, kettlebell flows, kickboxing training, and much more.
